The Social Media has been buzzing with mAadhaar card app, which has been released by supervisory agency UIDAI for Android smartphones. However, not many users know about its uses and the purpose it serves. Lack of knowledge about the app object is leading the users to be clueless, which isn’t acceptable for the UIDAI.
How to Install mAadhaar App?
Android smartphones can be used to identify yourself and use the app for other purposes. We are going to show you how to set up and use the application. So, let’s begin.
#1 Setup and Installation
Step 1: Go to Play store and search for mAadhar “Unique Identification Authority of India.”
Step 2: When you are on the download page, Tap on “Install.”
Step 3: Every application has a requirement, and the app does ask you to grant access to these areas (Read them carefully).
Step 4: The file size is 10.91MB.
Step 5: When the app installed, Open it.
Step 6: The app does take few seconds to load, and you have “Usage guidelines,” where you can find every detailed information on what to do and what not to.
Note: You can only use the app on registered mobile numbers which are linked to your Aadhar card, and you cannot manually type the OTP (One-time password).
#2 mAadhar Password Setup
To prevent security infringement, we are going to strike out the parts, which can compromise the security. So, pay attention to the steps correctly.
Step 1: Tap on the back button of “Usage Guidelines.”
Step 2: You must enter a password to protect your UIC. (One upper case letter, one symbol, and one number Example: passWord$5.)
Step 3: When the password is accepted, you have to enter your Aadhar number, or you can scan the barcode on the Aadhar card.
Step 4: The OTP will be sent to your smartphone, and you have to wait for at least a few minutes for the OTP Message. Like I have mentioned, you cannot enter the OTP code manually.
Note: If the app has crashed because of the bugs, then you can reopen it and enter the password you have set earlier. You have to repeat the whole process.
Step 5: Tap on verify, when the OTP appears on the screen.
Step 6: Now you will be able to see a dashboard with your Name and Photo on the screen.

#3 How to check your Aadhar Card in the App?
You have to re-enter your password to open the Aadhar card.
Step 1: Tap on the Aadhar card and you have to enter your password you have set earlier.
Step 2: Now you can see your Aadhar card front view.
Step 3: To view the Back View, you have to tap on it once. Repeat the same process to go back to the front view.
Few Unique Things you should know about mAadhar:
- There are plenty of options available in the three dot Settings bar, such as Barcode of your Aadhar card.
- You can even set a Biometric security wall for the app to prevent unauthorized users.
- You can change the passwords to Delete the profile for your smartphone, which is a great option.
